Brandon Semenuks – RAW 100 Version 6

When it gets to taking on a blank canvas and turning it into something grand, Brandon Semenuk is never the one too shy away from the challenge. His unapologetic riding style & devotion towards perfection have risen the aesthetic benchmarks of raw mountain biking cinematography time and time again.

In his sixth contribution to the Raw 100 series Brandon shakes up an abandoned mine in Merritt, British Columbia. As always Rupert Walker and Revel Co. had been there to catch everything on tape. 🎥

Tom Van Steenbergen – Wild West

adidas 5.10 Presents ‘Wild West’ Starring Tom Van Steenbergen

Tom Van Steenbergen unleashes an onslaught of creativity both on and off the bike in his most important project to date ‘Wild West’. From unique features to first time tricks, Tom’s creative freedom was let loose like never before. The end result is 2 and a half minutes of Tom’s most ambitious freeride and slopestyle riding to date.

Filmed in Oliver, BC, “Wild West’ is visual representation of Tom’s personality on and off the bike, brought to life by director Calvin Huth. Over a 6 week period of building, testing and experimenting with multiple world firsts tricks, ‘Wild West’ leaves nothing on the table.

Having first met in Whistler shooting for dirt diaries, Calvin and Tom had an instant rapport and have sort to work together ever since. ‘Wild West’ is a coming together of their creativity like never before.

“I put everything I had into this project, adidas 5.10 gave me the freedom to make the project I wanted to make and the time I needed to push my riding in the way I knew I could. I’ve put it all out there in ‘Wild West’ and hope that it gets people excited to ride” – Tom Van Steenbergen

Nico Vink – From The Ash

A decade ago, director Ryan Gibb released Life Cycles, a masterpiece of a mountain biking film. A sequel never materialized, and he spent the next few years working on commercial projects. Then, in late 2018 Gibb made a return to the MTB world, traveling to New Mexico’s Philmont Scout Ranch for an ambitious shoot featuring Nico Vink. Watch Vink shred through embers and ash in the short film From the Ash, Directed by Ryan Gibb and produced by Teton Gravity Research.

Disclaimer: This short film was made on private property in a burn scar — no healthy forests were lit on fire. In May of 2018 the Ute Park wildfire burnt 36,740 acres; a large swath of it was on the Philmont Scout Ranch. Thank you to the Boy Scouts of America for allowing us to film on location at Philmont. Everything was shot in a controlled setting on private land during the winter in a recently scorched wildfire area. The crew was under the supervision of forestry professionals to ensure everything was executed safely. There wasn’t a single live tree touched throughout our entire production.

Thank you to the men and women who put their lives at risk fighting real wildfires around the world. Please be responsible this wildfire season.
