E-Bike Action auf Nino Shurter’s Hometrails

Givisiez, Switzerland, March 2022. For the second episode of Trail E-xplorer, Holger meets Nino Schurter in his home region of Chur, Switzerland, to look for the most fun trails ridable in winter. Chur is a charming little city in the west of Switzerland and is the capital of the Swiss canton Graubünden. Chur has one thing that makes it very special: an incredible array of mountains with an endless amount of world-class trails to explore. That’s why 9-times Mountain Bike World Champion Nino Schurter feels so comfortable here. In this episode, Holger discovers how and why Nino rides E-MTB so frequently.

Chur, Switzerland

The region is known for its big ski resorts like Lenzerheide or Flims, which in winter are covered with snow. What is not well known yet is the huge trail center that is spreading all around the valley. Hundreds of itineraries are available on the Graubünden website and one of Nino’s favorite spots is along the Rheine Gorge, also called the “Swiss Grand Canyon”. On the second day of the trip, Nino and Holger discover the Alpen Bike Park, right above the city.
